Vaccination Schedule

The South African Department of Health’s immunisation schedule, which is based on the WHO’s recommendations, focuses on protecting against major diseases like polio, measles, diphtheria, tetanus, and tuberculosis. Immunisation is a vital tool for global health, helping to prevent millions of deaths each year.

At our practice, we go beyond the standard public schedule by offering additional recommended vaccines that are not always available at government clinics. These include options like the MMR vaccine for measles, mumps, and rubella, which is often recommended between 12 and 15 months, with a booster dose at five to six years. Other important private vaccines protect against Meningococcal meningitis, Hepatitis A, Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), and Chickenpox.
